try to serve the community and to be a tremendous partner
to Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, " Chip says.
" I am appreciative of the other trustees of the College and
the work we do together. We also have a great leadership
team in place. " During his tenure on the board, trustees
and the College's leadership team worked together to create
the College's campus in East Lampeter Township. " It's an
amazing gem. A lot of thought went into the location of the
campus, the buildings and amenities, " Chip says.
some cycling in France. " I was part of a group of riders
that did some of the stages of the Tour de France. We did
our ride one day in advance of the official Tour de France
competitors. It was amazing! The territory was beautiful;
sometimes, we were cycling along the edge of a mountain
road, at other times there was a bit of flat
land, " he says. " Since we did the ride a
day ahead of the professionals we were
greeted by cheers when we entered
towns. " He also enjoys motorized,
two-wheeled adventures thanks
to his two motorcycles - a Moto
Guzzi and a BMW. " The BMW
is a dual sport model - I can
take it off-road. The Moto Guzzi
is more like a 'café racer' style
- it looks like an old-fashioned
motorcycle, " Chip says.
Chip's passions run deep and extend
equally to his role as chair of the College's
Board of Trustees. " Pennsylvania College of
Health Sciences is such a tremendous asset to Lancaster
and the region. We help create the health care workforce
in central Pennsylvania, " he says. He's going into his third
year serving as chair and has served on the board for the
past decade. " As trustees, our responsibility is to help the

out of college. After graduating from Ursinus College with
a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in 1985, his
first job was with Met Life. Throughout his career, he's held
various positions including Northeast Regional President of
Susquehanna Administrators and Senior Growth Officer for
HealthFitness, a Trustmark Company. He is currently senior
Vice President of Sales at Pareto Health.
" I've always had an interest in health care and education.
I became connected to Lancaster County during my time
at Susquehanna Administrators. In a way, Ken Stoudt, [a
former long-time College Trustee and past Chair
who recently passed away], was my mentor. He
introduced me to the community and the
boards that meant something to him, " Chip
explains.
He's also served on the boards of other
organizations. He served on the board of
Milagro House, a Lancaster organization
that provides education, housing and
support services for women and children
at risk of homelessness and on the board of
the Lancaster Business Group on Health (now
operating as the Central Penn Business Group on
Health), an independent, non-profit affiliate of the
Lancaster Chamber of Commerce.
