French writer Jean de La Fontaine once wrote,
" Rare as is true love, true friendship is rarer. " This
fall PA College lost a true friend with the passing
of Ken Stoudt. Anyone who spent time with Ken
likely heard him say, " Have I mentioned how
much I love this college? " While certainly an
exceedingly generous donor, Ken demonstrated
his love for PA College in so many other ways,
from his engagement with students and faculty,
to his role in selecting the beautiful artwork
displayed on our campus. He relished the
opportunity to introduce his friends and family to PA College and served as a powerful
advocate on our behalf for many years as a member of our Board of Trustees. I encourage
you to read more about Ken and his extraordinary legacy on page 14. Ken was that rarest of
rarities, a true friend, and we will all miss him dearly.
