With the technology and the concept firmly in
place, there seems to be no end of technologydriven marketing and sales applications available
to the company and the non-profit world.
"I had a desire to help fix the problems in the non-profit
world with fundraisers, and I've always been interested in helping golf course owners and operators," Last said. "A couple of
years ago we came up with a way to give clubs an easy way to
process event requests, and those became OneSpareTeeTime
and BestOutings. My investors and I have always said that if we
end up making any money on these things, we'd donate it back
to the golf industry."
Last is equally excited about the potential for helping both
non-profits and golf resorts through the Travel Pledge program.
In addition to the usual non-profits and charitable organizations, he envisions the program as a golden opportunity for
groups such as university alumni groups to offer their members a
different and more enjoyable way of supporting their schools by
offering stay & play packages at golf resorts or courses with hospitality facilities, with the majority of the revenue going to the
school and a portion of ancillary revenue to the resort. Geronimo

will even design group websites to promote the offers, with the
sites giving the appearance of being created by the alumni group.
The program also has a consumer option where golfers wishing
to book travel golf or stay & play trips can book through the
site, and a significant donation will be make to their favorite
non-profit in their name. Additional programs such as OneSpareTable for the restaurant industry and OneSpareWeek for the
real estate and vacation rental industry are based on the same
principle as OneSpareTeeTime, with similar rewards going to
non-profit auctions.

he may have originally thought.
"It's a labor of love that has gone on a lot longer than I
thought it would," he admitted.
