My point here is that, after we wrangle the disparate technology
and data integration issues to the ground, there's going to be
an intermediary process as well for organization and key metrics
for performance measurement as the next layer en route to true
AI. Those of you who are tuned into the Pellucid " channel " will
recognize this as our Golf Market Research Center 2.0 joint development
work with Metolius and now ready for our first 2025
beta operators (already identified by volunteers coming out of
Orlando). You'll also recognize that Club Caddie is one of the
initial supported platforms in line with Jason's strategy and view
of the future owner/operator insights world.
So what does the future state of all this look like? In Stuart
& my crystal ball it looks something like this at the end of
each month and with little/no effort on the part of the owner/
operator:
* Your end-of-month report is delivered to your Inbox.
It has your performance metrics (including weather
impact) and highlights exceptionally good/poor
performance relative to year-ago (some operators in
Metolius are also programming in vs. Plan comparisons)

That performance review allows you to determine the
impact of both pricing (dynamic or changes to rate
card) and marketing programs (new golfer acquisition,

list gets joined with the offer in your broadcast email

In a future world, and with enough operator
participation, you'll have market-level, peer-facilities
performance benchmarking on key metrics to measure
how you're doing vs. the market by month and Year-toDate
(we currently provide a very rudimentary view of
this to our GMRC participants which we continue to
refine and learn about the nuances involved in " getting
it right " )
If we can figure out how to advance the ball down the fairway
with the above approach and elements in place, then the table will
be set for all the breathless AI promises and claims that are being
broad-brush applied to golf and which will supposedly happen
tomorrow to transform our industry. This is the roadmap that
Pellucid and our progressive-thinking partners are designing and
following. While we're playing in our own little world of the
golf industry here, starting with the tools and historical industry
mindset, here's a fun little peek at how the " big boys " (in this case
Salesforce) are viewing the landscape before us.
