attributes, such as the unique number of the object, can be
directly stored in the label, while dynamic properties, e.g.,
the object temperature, humidity, brightness and so on,
need to be detected by a sensor in real time. Common sensing devices include radio-frequency identification (rfiD)
tags, video, and global positioning systems (GPss). information first must be obtained by sensors and translated to a
data format that is suitable for network transmission, and
then it must be transmitted to intermediate nodes over various short-range transmission protocols. the interpretation
of a variety of perceptual data is the foundation for making
a city smart.
the communication layer is above the perceptual layer
and is responsible for transmitting and processing the
information obtained by the perceptual layer. the communication layer consists of a variety of network systems
that can provide mass data storage and high-efficiency
service support.
the third layer is the data layer, which integrates the
original data acquired by the perceptual layer into the corresponding domain database according to the requirement (i.e, attributes of target objects where we use the
framework), resulting in the establishment of an informational urban database in accordance with the dimensions
of time and space. Data storage technology and big data
processing technology are used to analyze information
and meet the needs of other layers.
the top layer is the application layer, which directly
faces final-users and provides diverse applications and
services to facilitate business functions through the use
of data interactions with the city's integrated data-sharing platform.
