The possible interaction between
the converter and control strategies
can be performed in a holistic system
analysis with MATLAB/Simulink,
which allows the integration of several
models. Besides the power converter
and its control system, when
the focus should be on the accurate
modeling of the MWT in terms of
stray parameters, power loss
estimation due to high-frequency
effects, and cross-coupling effects
among the multiples windings, the
so-called finite element method
software packages, like ANSYS
Maxwell, present a promising solution
for the analysis of magnetic elements.
Finally, from the system level,
software packages such as PSCAD
allow the interaction among the several
elements of the system (power
converter, distributed generators,
battery, and so on) with the grid.
