compliance to IEEE 2030.7 for microgrid specifications are
expanding to commercially funded projects. Taken together,
these two standards enable flexibility and the customization
of the components and control algorithms to be specified,
certified, and deployed in microgrids, without sacrificing
and limiting advanced functionality and c- ompatibility.
Protection is being addressed in IEEE P2030.12, Draft
Guide for the Design of Microgrid Protection Systems.
IEEE P2030.12 is being developed by the IEEE SA's Guide
for the Design of Microgrid Protection Systems Working
Group. The document is intended to be an IEEE guide for
" the design of microgrid protection. " It is sponsored by the
