Together, they exhibit unique characteristics compared to most other international power systems. This stems from world-class wind and solar resources and the absence of interconnection to neighboring countries. The NEM power system has large geographical distances in the order of several hundred kilometers between load centers, areas of concentration of inverter-based resources (IBRs), and synchronous generation centers.http://www.SHUTTERSTOCK.COM/ANNSTASAG
