Reliability and resilience of energy supply has become a
critical industry topic due to more extreme and frequent
weather conditions and further electrification of energy
consumers. The reliability/resilience issues are mostly
locational and seasonal and dealing with them requires
flexible energy resources. This panel is proposed as part
of ongoing " Industry Connection Activities for mobile and
transportation energy storage systems, sponsored by IEEE
standards association and supported by IEEE Transportation
Electrification Community (TEC) (https://standards.

The panel will include presentations and
panelist that will discuss industry trends towards adaptation
of new mobile technologies with flexible interconnection
point to the grid. The key focus of the panel will be
on the business case for mobile and transportable ESS and
how it compares to stationary ESS solutions and mobile
diesel generator for outage management use cases. The

and machine learning for distributed and decentralized
decisions and control, that is, at grid edge. Our ultimate
goal of this panel session is to connect cutting-edge data
analytics and machine learning theories to real-world
