para mayor evaluación.
La BoD exigió el comité ad hoc para
ajustar las recomendaciones aprobadas
a fin de abordar algunos problemas que
señaló la Junta. Además, estamos desarrollando
recomendaciones pendientes
para abordar los problemas de la composición
en función de la diversidad,
las clasificaciones y de las evaluaciones
en el nivel del Comité de Fellows
del IEEE, que se le propondrá a la BoD
del IEEE en la reunión de septiembre.
También soy miembro activo de los
comités ad hoc de CRCC del IEEE, liderados
por el expresidente de la PES
y el presidente electo del IEEE, Saifur
Rahman. Para parafrasear al estatuto
del comité, este incluye lo siguiente:
la identificación de los esfuerzos continuos
de descarbonización y por el
cambio climático (CC) en el IEEE, la
recomendación de nuevos programas y
actividades de CC para el IEEE, el desarrollo
de una declaración de política
de CC para su consideración por parte
de la BoD, la identificación de socios
externos clave para los esfuerzos
de cooperación y la garantía de que la
respuesta del IEEE ante el CC es sustancial,
apropiada y cuenta con la participación
del IEEE, sus miembros y la
profesión técnica en general. Por ende,
bajo el liderazgo del presidente electo,
hemos estado recopilando información
de múltiples unidades organizativas
(UO) del IEEE sobre las numerosas
iniciativas de CC activas actualmente
dentro del IEEE.

alta cantidad de comités de UO, actividades
y esfuerzos en pos de abordar los

instituciones, grupos y organizaciones
por fuera del IEEE, muchos de los cuales
tienen lazos sólidos con la PES, que
