el costo de la red con la seguridad, confiabilidad y
estabilidad.
Las FED y otras tecnologías digitales de última
generación de la red se encuentran ahora en un punto
de inflexión. En términos históricos, se espera una
tasa de adopción del 100 % de aquí a 20 o 25 años.
Surgirá entonces un paradigma de red eléctrica 4D,
con capacidad para suministrar electricidad descarbonizada
a una economía descentralizada y digitalizada.
El dominio de las FED interconectadas con la
electrónica de potencia desafiará el statu quo de la
red en términos de arquitectura, planificación y operaciones.
La preparación para semejante revolución
exige una adaptación urgente en múltiples ámbitos:
1) herramientas y plataformas mejoradas y más dinámicas
para la conciencia situacional en áreas amplias
(D-WASA); 2) herramientas y plataformas de apoyo
a la toma de decisiones más rápidas, preferiblemente
en menos de un segundo; y 3) mayor aplicación de
bucles cerrados autónomos para mitigar las incertidumbres
y eliminar al ser humano de los bucles en
los que el tiempo es crítico. El nivel de monitoreo ha
sido el centro de atención de las partes interesadas en
la última década, como demuestra el despliegue de
los sincrofasores (PMU, por sus siglas en inglés) y los
medidores inteligentes en todo el mundo. Ha llegado
el momento de centrar la atención en la conversión de
los datos de estos dispositivos en información procesable
y en la conversión de las mediciones en señales
de control retroalimentadas.
Es necesario tener en cuenta de manera proactiva
Impulsar redes eléctricas
futuras descentralizadas,
descarbonizadas, digitalizadas
y democratizadas
la dinámica que induce la FED en las aplicaciones de los sistemas de gestión de la energía (EMS, por sus
siglas en inglés) y en las herramientas de suministro para sacar el máximo partido de la inteligencia que
surge en los extremos de la red. De repente, la optimización del rendimiento dinámico de la red de gran
escala en una área amplia se hace posible mediante el aprovechamiento de unos FED cada vez más inteligentes.
No obstante, es difícil conseguirlo estudiando las entidades de distribución y transmisión en silos
institucionales. Resulta esencial una visión más coherente y orientada a la cadena de valor de las FED
como activos en una red digital integrada
con millones de dispositivos inteligentes.
Estas son algunas de las preocupaciones
prioritarias que complican nuestra evolución
hacia una red integrada en la que predominen
las FED inteligentes. La primera es la
activación del extremo de la red en apoyo
de nuevos modelos de negocio que empoderen
al consumidor sacando partido del
Internet de las cosas (IoT, por sus siglas en
inglés). Por otro lado, " mantener las luces
encendidas " significa mantener el control de
la estabilidad y la confiabilidad de las redes
donde predomina la electrónica de potencia
mediante controles descentralizados y centralizados de tipo gemelo digital. La tercera prioridad es el despliegue
de una gestión activa y simultánea de los resultados técnicos y económicos de la red eléctrica en
presencia de incertidumbres. Por último, en apoyo de los tres objetivos anteriores, será necesario habilitar
las herramientas y tecnologías necesarias para la integración a gran escala de las FED, que incluyen la
enero/febrero 2023
