si bien es cierto que las µPMu pueden apoyar
o contribuir con algunos de los usos de las PMu
a nivel de transmisión, tales como la medición de
ubicación sincronizada, de frecuencia fundamental
o identificación de oscilaciones dentro del área, es la
serie de tiempo (es decir, la secuencia de mediciones
sincronizadas de ángulo de fase y magnitud en tres
fases) la que proporciona la mayor ventaja al sistema
de distribución.
una µPMu habitual está conectada a circuitos de
distribución monofásicos o trifásicos para medir, de
forma continua, magnitudes de tiempo del sistema de
posicionamiento global y los ángulos de fase de la tensión y la corriente en dos lecturas/ciclo, o 120 lecturas/s.
Esto es 108,000 veces más rápido que la tasa de informe de
un medidor inteligente habitual, que proporciona una lectura
cada 15 minutos. cada uno de estos conjuntos de datos es útil
para un propósito específico, pero usarlos de tal modo que
sean los más "adecuados para determinado propósito" puede
llegar a ser todo un desafío. En la detección y medición de
la red de distribución, no existe ningún enfoque genérico: se
necesita tener una mentalidad abierta a todas las opciones
