application, and challenges for big data and
AI within the energy grid. This includes discussion on
the integration and operation of renewables, electrification,
and the potential uncertainties of the energy business
and operation model.

Resiliency is defined as the ability to withstand a " high
impact-low probability " event with little or no customer
outage impact.
California is faced with a dramatic increase in the number
and intensity of wildfires. Regulators and other stakeholders
demand resilient solutions. Explore the new fire mitigation
programs by SCE and PG&E that include weather stations
and forecasting, real-time monitoring, enhanced vegetation
management, covered conductor, pole hardening, strategic
undergrounding, re-inspections of critical electric infrastructure
and use of Public Safety Power Shut-offs to proactively
shut down power based on extreme conditions.
