2010 Instructor of the Year been an hte instructor since May of he is an invaluable resource for the in the district. When I SheldOn BentOn hasclasseshte programscheduled for early 1995.transferred into the district, hte were already in the year. Sheldon took the initiative to call and bring me up to speed on the upcoming classes and provide me with instructor lists. Classes were held at two local sportsmen’s clubs as well as a local school, both of which Sheldon has developed strong ties to. he creates an agenda for each class down to the minute, so, his classes run smooth and on schedule. Sheldon was instrumental in getting a class scheduled at a local school. It was the first class ever held at the school and people from the community and school were enthusiastic about volunteering to help. Sheldon took it as an opportunity to promote the hte program and to try to recruit new instructors. Sheldon has the ability to effectively communicate with the students and guests and his teaching style deserves mentioning. Being a paramedic for Bedford Ambulance, when a problem arises, Sheldon quickly comes up with a solution and the class continues without a hitch. he demonstrates proficiency with all of the AV equipment and has shown initiative and patience in learning and transitioning to the new electronic records reporting system. Sheldon follows the curriculum and demonstrates proficiency in all areas of instruction. he instructs in such a manner that keeps everyone involved and makes the classes very interesting. Sheldon always conducts a pre-class meeting with instructors a few days before hand so everyone knows what sections they are teaching and to make sure everything is in order. he works and interacts well with other instructors and is usually the first to arrive and the last to leave. Overall Sheldon is a joy to teach with and is an integral part in making hte classes in Bedford a success.
