R.F. McGough Collection A turkey tag was added to the license in 1966, and a second one in 1973, following a change in the law that allowed hunters to take two turkeys per license year - one in the fall and one in the spring. Adult resident hunting license fees increased to $6.70 in 1972, and junior licenses increased to $4.20. The resident senior license also was created, allowing hunters 65 and older to pay a discounted fee of $5.20. Hunting license fees for resident adults and juniors increased in 1973, as well, to $8.25 and $5.25, respectively. Following the creation of archery and muzzleloader deer licenses in 1974, archery and muzzleloader stamps were produced in 1976, and the license was redesigned to leave space for the placement of each. A frontiersman and the words "Pennsylvania Bicentennial Issue" also make the license special. MARCH 2020 49
