SHIKAR-SAFARI AWARD Chester County Game Warden Matthew Johnson was named recipient of the 2020 Shikar-Safari Award, a highly prestigious honor presented annually by ShikarSafari Club International to a Pennsylvania State Game Warden for outstanding performance and achievements. NWTF AWARD Game Commission Special Investigator Larry Hergenroeder was named the National Wild Turkey Federation's 2020 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for his work to promote turkey conservation. NCLECA AWARD Perry County Game Warden Kevin Anderson received the Northeast Conservation Law Enforcement Chiefs Association Award for his outstanding contribution to wildlife conservation. LIFE SAVING AWARD OGT CASE OF THE YEAR From left to right, Crawford County Game Warden Randy Crago, Erie County Game Wardens Cody Jones and Andy Hueser, and Northwest Region Information and Education Supervisor Jason Amory were presented with the Life Saving Award for their actions in rescuing a man stranded in the cold and suffering from hypothermia on State Game Lands 269 in February. 50 Lackawanna County Game Warden Eric Kelly was named recipient of the Operation Game Thief Case of the Year award for a case he worked while serving in Juniata County in October. The defendant in the case shot a 6-point buck from his vehicle, using a spotlight at night, and was sentenced to $2,400 in fines and three years hunting license revocation.
