A s we go to print, fundraising for this year's Walk for PKD
NATIONAL
is well underway. With the COVID-19 pandemic, the Walk
for PKD pivoted to a virtual environment for the past two years.
We're excited to say that for 2022, we're reuniting for in-person
Walks across the country. Once again, the nation's largest gathering
of the PKD community will see its members walking side
by side to raise awareness and donations toward a cure.
Over the past 22 years, our signature fundraising and public
awareness event, the Walk for PKD, has raised more than
$34 million for PKD research. Recently, event donations for
research have gone to:
* Funding for 11 researchers in 2021
* Supporting the expansion of the ADPKD Registry-more
than 2,300 participants are now enrolled
* Expanding our leadership role in the Polycystic Kidney
Disease Outcomes Consortium (PKDOC)
While in-person Walks are back this year, we know there are
many people in our community who still prefer virtual events.
We've got you covered! As you register for the Walk, you can
elect to join our virtual Walk and participate from wherever
you feel most comfortable.
