Class Notes Jeffrey Mohl was married to Lisa Packer on December 19, 2015. Jeffrey is Vice President, Sports Marketing at NYC and Company which is the tourism and marketing arm for the City of New York. He continues to serve as the tournament director of the Matthew Sapolin Memorial Wheelchair Basketball Tournament which has been held at Horace Mann for the past nine years. Chondita Samant Chatterjee Dayton was married to Alexander Brandt Dayton on September 27, 2015. Chondita, who graduated from Harvard and received an MBA at Stanford, is senior V.P. in New York for Lyst, a London-based company that curates clothes and accessories for sale onto one online website. Alex (a Fieldston alumnus) is a psychotherapist specializing in behavioral therapy with adults and adolescents. Guests at the wedding included Andrew Fleiss '96 and Jenny Fleiss '01, Lisa Rosenthal Bader '98, and Nyssa Fajardo Lee. Randi Zuckerberg, who launched Zuckerberg Media, premiered a docu-series called "Quit Your Day Job" in March 2016 on Oxygen http:// www.oxygen.com/quit-your-day-job. 2000 Joseph Fischel is an Assistant Professor of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Yale University now on leave doing research at Tulane University. His book Sex and Harm in the Age of Consent was published in May 2016 and will be covered in the next issue of Horace Mann Magazine. Jared Hillman filmed the digital series "Sh..ty Boyfriends" (fill in the blanks for the real name) for Lisa Kudrow, Dan Bucatinsky, New Form Digital, and Refinery29. Jared appears in sketches for FOX NFL Sunday, and can be seen in Infiniti's "Frozen Moment" nationally running commercial spot, as well as in national spots for Burger King's "Fry Burger" and AARP/United Healthcare. He recently played Trainee Block in Misha Collins' "TSA America." Jared's buddy comedy "Tandem" (Tandem on iTunes), which he wrote, produced and directed with Matt Helfgott, won the Audience Award for Best Short at the La Costa Film Festival. The duo's next directorial project "The Fake" recently played Naples Film Festival, Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, Santa Fe Independent Film Festival, and Malibu Film Festival, and more. Lara Setrakian is "the entrepreneur at the forefront of an exciting new trend in online journalism" wrote Spencer Bokat-Lindell of "Inc." in July 2015. Setrakian is an award-winning journalist, strategist and entrepreneur who spent five years in the Middle East reporting for television, radio and digital platforms for ABC News, Bloomberg Television, the International Herald Tribune, Business Insider and Monocle magazine. A Young Global Leader with the World Economic Forum, Marie Claire magazine named her one of the "Top Women of 2012". Today she is pioneering single-subject news sites with her company, News Deeply, "a new media and technology company dedicated to bringing thought leaders together, enhancing public engagement, and improving the user experience of complex global issues." News Deeply grew out of Setrakian's National Press Foundation Excellence in Online Journalism Award-recipient "Syria Deeply" which Setrakian established "to provide a complete understanding of the Syrian conflict from all angles, including all the major players, issues and drivers of the civil war." In October 2014 she branched out to launch Ebola Deeply "as a real-time crisis monitor during the deadly outbreak." Andrew Perlgut was married in October 2014 to Allison Moore. Andrew is Director of Information and Data Technology for Murray's Cheese. He has returned to HM to play in Ultimate Frisbee games that include alumni and current students. Said Perlgut: "The HM Ultimate team has always been more of a community, with a common love for Ultimate, than a traditional sports team. The love of Ultimate and the friendships made on the team keep us in touch with each other and, of course, with Chris Jones (math teacher and former Ultimate coach). The opportunity to come back and meet new members of our little community and to reconnect with others is a great draw. Seeing the excitement in the eyes of the (current students) at how big the HM Ultimate community is, reconnecting with old friends, and watching our community grow each year is worth coming back to spend a few hours throwing a Frisbee in the rain." Longtime Mets fans who go to Citi-field today have Andrew and classmate, attorney Lonnie Klein, to thank for bringing some of Mets' history to the "new" stadium. When the team was transitioning from Shea to Citi-field in 2007-2008 the two friends decided the old, slightly bruised, apple should not be left behind, and mounted a "Save the Apple" campaign and website. They collected enough signatures to convince Mets' management to bring the old apple to the team's new home. Dr. Rita Patel Linkner and Evan Linkner became the proud parents of Asher Sandford Linkner on June 11, 2015. Dr. Linkner is a dermatologist in private practice at the Upper East Side office of SKINFLUENCE. Professor K. Sabeel Rahman was named a Fellow at the New America Foundation, one of 22 individuals selected for this honor for 2016. The Fellows Program supports journalists, academics and other public policy analysts who offer fresh perspectives on the major challenges facing our society. Prof. Rahman, who teaches administrative law and constitutional law at Brooklyn Law School, is working on a book about democracy in this "New Gilded Age" of economic and political inequality. In March 2015 Prof. Rahman was appointed by Mayor Bill de Blasio to the NYC Rent Guidelines Board. He previously served as a special advisor in NY City Hall on economic development issues. Rahman is also the Research and Design Director and a founding leadership member of the Gettysburg Project, an innovation hub linking leading practitioners and scholars in community organizing, civic engagement, and social movements. His writing has appeared in the Boston Review, The Nation, and Salon.com.
