Class Notes 2002 Katie Saidenberg Berg and her husband Spencer welcomed their son Gavin Scott on September 30, 2014. Sasha Novograd Brown addressed the current state and future promise of solar energy and sustainability at the "Life of the Mind" segment of HM's annual Homecoming on October 10, 2015, along with Dr. Benjamin Strauss '90, vice president for Sea Level and Climate Impacts at Climate Central. Brown is a vice president at NewWorld Capital Group, a private equity firm investing in the environmental opportunities sector. José Leonor teaches English at The Bishop's School in La Jolla as a ninth-grade class sponsor at the school. He completed a master's degree in school leadership at the Klingenstein Center at Teachers College, Columbia University in 2015. Mark Littmann was married to Katie Grien on October 17, 2015 in Atlanta, with HM guests in attendance, including those pictured with the bride and groom: Mickey Littmann '52, Uri Weg, Pamela (Littmann) Dorsey '04, David Jakus, Katie Littmann, Noah Solowiejczyk, Mark Littmann, Jordan Calinoff, Spencer Soloway, David Siffert, and Steve Maroti. Also at the wedding were Mark's uncle Neil Littmann '49 and his father, Mickey Littman's classmate, Marvin (and Rita) Wein '52. Medical Center, and is a fellow in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at RMA New York/ Mount Sinai. Kouros is a vice president of EIG Global Energy Partners in Houston, where he specializes in oil and gas finance. Among the guests at the wedding of Dr. Taraneh Nazem and Ali Kouros were Joseph Kuhn, Alissa Jacob, and Lauren Moise Machinist. Sam Kahn's play "The Shakespeare Question Solved" premiered in 2015 at the Robert Moss Theater in New York. 2003 Doug Saidenberg is CFO of the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE), a new organization founded by leaders in higher education to help college educators improve instruction and student outcomes. Dr. Taraneh Gharib Nazem was married to Ali Kouros on May 9, 2015 at the New York Public Library, with several HM friends in attendance. Dr. Nazem graduated from Yale and received a medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She is a chief resident in obstetrics and gynecology at NYU Langone 56 Horace Mann Magazine Summer 2016 2005 Dr. Serena Goldstein, ND is a Naturopathic Doctor in New York City specializing in cardiovascular, thyroid, and LGBT health. She recently launched drserenagoldstein.com a newsletter and website to educate readers concerning health, and heart health in particular. She regularly publishes on health issues, including in the popular mindbodygreen.com website for health and wellness. Dr. Libby CopelandHalperin completed a residency in General Surgery at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, VA. Matt Siffert is a singer-songwriter whose work combines folk-influenced songwriting with jazz and classical music, as well as poetry and spoken-word. Having completed his Master's degree at Manhattan School of Music, he collaborated with the SENSEDANCE company, which performed "Grand Canyon" to Matt's music at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College in November 2015. On December 3, 2015 Matt celebrated the release of his EP "Accelerations" with a concert at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 3.
