In what ways have you been involved with SAE? I have been a member for 34 years, my most recent affiliation being with the SAE Carolina Section. Also, since 2014, I have been a member of the SAE Foundation Committee and Trustees. I served on the SAE Executive Nominating Committee from 2016 to 2018. How has your SAE Membership been helpful to you? Probably the biggest benefit has been interacting with people and technology from differing industries like automotive and aerospace. Which SAE Member been particularly helpful or inspirational to you? Bharat Vedak and Klaus Hoehn are great examples to me. They both have a long history of proven leadership and are well respected around the world. I have seen them lead by example with integrity in their personal lives as well as at John Deere and 15
