In the end, the results were great and the customer was enthusiastic. Obviously, since life is ironic, I started feeling very good just after the end of the project. In what way is SAE helpful to you in your job? First of all, SAE allows publishing papers with an excellent peer-review process that increases the drafts' quality thanks to comments and suggestions by carefully selected reviewers. Moreover, I serve as volunteer for the organization of several sessions in different international conferences. This activity gives me the chance to get in touch with many people from the automotive world. On one side, 22 July 2020 managing many drafts allows me to stay up to date and to read the most innovative research on the topics I am interested in. On the other side, the interaction with more and less experienced session organizers gives me the possibility of growing and learning how to interact with a multitude of people. For how long have you been involved with SAE? I have been involved in SAE since I was a Ph.D. student. I attended my first SAE conference one year after my degree, at a Fuels and Lubricants meeting in Brazil.
