Engineering Events and Meetings

SAE International held more than 60 technical conferenes, symposia and seminars in 2010 around the world. In 2010, SAE International held two of its marquee industry congress events — the	SAE	World	Congress	(automotive)	and	 the	SAE	Commercial	Vehicle	Congress	 (commercial vehicle). Thousands of people from all over the world attended these events, which drew Host	Company	and	executive	leadership	 support from some of the top companies in	mobility	engineering,	including	Ford,	 MAGNA	and	OshKosh.

These congress events featured technical presentations covering the most relevant topics in transportation engineering, along with panel discussions and plenary sessions from some of the top leaders in automotive and commercial vehicle engineering. In	addition,	SAE	International	held	the	first	 Convergence	event	since	acquiring	all	 rights	to	the	event	from	the	Convergence	 Transportation Electronics Association in	2009.	SAE	Convergence	2010	placed	 special focus on safety, systems engineering, collaboration, connectivity and the environment.
