Product Costs for Factor Concentrates
in von Willebrand Disease (VWD) Are Substantial

Converting to a von Willebrand factor/factor VIII concentrate (VWF/FVIII) that requires a
lower dose may reduce total product costs
Not all VWF/FVIII concentrates are the same.
There are distinct differences between some
widely-used VWF/FVIII concentrates-specifically,
the recommended dose and total product usage
needed to prevent and control bleeding.1-3
