RS Precision, a leader in complex parts manufacturing for more than
70 years, has recently invested more than $1.5 million dollars over
the past 24 months in their talent, facility, and machines to further
strengthen their position as a major supplier for aerospace and
defense, medical, and demanding commercial requirements.
Despite the recent economic downturn this past year, RS Precision
has continued to grow, nearly doubling its capabilities. By adding
additional machines to its already extensive fleet, their precision parts
shop is uniquely positioned to fulfill orders of any size, and always on
time.
Key investments made by RS Precision in just the past year include:
* Two additional Vertical Machining Centers, a Mazak VCN
570C and a Mazak VCN 430B, were added to their
existing fleet of Mazaks to provide a greater flexibility in
scheduling multiple projects and ensure on-time deliveries.
* A Keyence IM-8030 that, in a few seconds, completes accurate and consistent measurements of up to 300 dimensions per part,
for up to 100 parts simultaneously.
* A Chevalier B818-III CNC automatic surface grinder-a machine not commonly found in other machine shops-that provides a
high degree of dimensional and form accuracy on very hard or abrasive materials.

The Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) is pleased to announce that Hexcel Corporation will build a flagship
Center of Excellence for Research & Technology (R&T) to support next-generation developments in advanced
composites technologies in Utah, adding up to 150 new high-paying jobs in the next 12 years.

Hexcel is a global advanced composites technology leader, manufacturing carbon fiber, woven reinforcements, resins, prepregs,
honeycomb, and additive manufactured parts for customers in commercial aerospace, space and defense, and industrial markets. This new
R&T center will be the company's largest center for innovation and product development in North America and a showcase for the company's
advanced composites technology, providing space for future growth and expansion in the years ahead. The company's existing operations in
West Valley City include its largest high-performance carbon fiber manufacturing facility in the world. The site also is home to the company's
U.S. aerospace matrix operations. About 600 people currently work at the site.

Heatcon® Composite Systems announces an expanded relationship with Hexcel
Corporation, a global leader in advanced composites technology. The companies
entered into a North American distribution partnership granting Heatcon the ability
to sell Hexcel carbon fiber prepreg fabrics and tapes to support the unmanned
aerial vehicles (UAV) and advanced air mobility vehicles (AAM) industry.
Heatcon, a leader in the composites repair industry and an official Hexcel
distributor, supplies materials such as fiberglass, carbon, peel ply and bagging film
to aerospace companies and military providers.
Composites are used heavily in the manufacturing and repair of newer
commercial aircrafts, helicopter rotor blades, and wind turbine blades.
The Hexcel partnership focuses on a variety of carbon fiber prepreg products
used during the manufacturing and repair process of UAVs and AAMs. Such a
strategic alliance with Heatcon will allow Hexcel to increase its overall presence in
the commercial aerospace and space and defense markets.
