SCVMA Visits UC Davis and Western University Veterinary Schools In October, Dr. Hawkins visited UC Davis and spoke about mandated reporting of animal cruelty. Students learned about their role in these cases and how to support enforcement in cases of alleged cruelty to animals. At Western University, Dr. Hawkins spoke about a day in the life of a shelter vet. Students learned how shelter work compares to general practice, the types of cases they might see in animal shelters, and rabies control regulations. STAY CURRENT!
