SEAHO Report - Winter 2013 - (Page 3)

SEAHO PRESIDENT Dear SEAHO Spring semester is upon us and that means balmy southern temperatures, flowers bursting from the ground and trees, and that the SEAHO conference is right around the corner! I hope you are making plans to join us at the beautiful Marriott Marquis in Atlanta for our annual gathering for enrichment, recommitment, rejuvenation, and growth. This is the first year that we are hosting our conference with our new conference hosting model. Katrina Pawvluk from the College of William & Mary is serving as our very first Conference Coordinator and leading us into the new paradigm for conference management for SEAHO. The host committee has prepared a terrific schedule of speakers, meals, programs, vendors, and meaningful moments of connection that are guaranteed to help you redouble your efforts as we serve the students in the Southern region. I congratulate everyone for their hard work to make SEAHO 360 in Atlanta a resounding success. I wanted to take this time to thank you for giving me the honor to serve as your President this year. It has been a tremendous opportunity for me and one that I do not take lightly. I am proud of the work that the Executive Board and Governing Council has done this year. Our organization continues to strive to be a pillar of developmental excellence for professionals in our field and to provide valuable service and information to our colleagues across the region. I am confident that SEAHO is well poised for continued success as we prepare to celebrate our 50th year! I hope you will take time to review this edition of the SEAHO Report and that you find a nugget in it that you can take and use immediately and several others that get you thinking, tweeting and sharing with others on your campus, in the region, and beyond. Does an article in here spark your thoughts about something else? Use it as a chance to submit an article for our next SEAHO Report! The SEAHO Report is our vehicle to share ideas, initiatives, and innovations with others in the region to continue to serve our students with compassion, creativity, and cutting edge best practices for development. Thanks for all you do for our organization, our campuses, our profession, and our region. GO SEAHO! - Aframe Adrienne Otto Frame, Ed.D. SEAHO President, 2012-2013 SEAHO Report Winter 2013 3
