TARH 2013
TARH 2013 was a great success! Our theme this
year was TARHmageddon: Soon you will find that
being a leader is not the end of the world! Over 100
delegates and advisors attended this year’s
conference! We were very excited to have 11
institutions in attendance: Belmont, UT - Knoxville,
UT - Martin, UT - Chattanooga, Tennessee Tech, East
Tennessee State, Maryville, Memphis, Lincoln
Memorial, Austin Peay State, and Middle Tennessee
State. Delegates and advisors enjoyed a spirited and
encouraging speech from Ms. Amy Gallimore from
TRI Leadership Resources. Several awards were voted
upon and awarded at the conference. NCC of the Year
went to Matthew Holt and Advisor went to Amy
Beals—both from ETSU. School of the Year went to
the University of Tennessee at Martin. Katie Garren
from ETSU won Student of the Year. Three awards
were given to students with 4 years of service to
TARH – Zack Walden, Brandy Greene, and Katie
Garren from ETSU. New executive board members
were elected and will be sworn in at No-Frills.
Positions were awarded to Jana Vestal-UTM
(Director), Jacob Howard-ETSU (AD-Administration
and Finance), Jeanne Moore-UTK (AD-Publications),
Emily Hallman-APSU (State Communications
Coordinator), Lindee McCurley-UTM (Advisor) and
