Georgia Updates cont.

She originally hails from Tennessee but has most
recently been living in New England where she
worked as a resident director. She studied art in her
undergraduate and went on to pursue a master's degree
in counseling. She is so excited to be a part of the
SCAD community.
Natalie Mineer joins SCAD as a new residence
director. Natalie recently graduated from the
University of Mississippi with her Masters of Arts in
Higher Education/Student Personnel. There she served
as the graduate assistant for leadership programming.
Natalie will be working in Victory Village supporting
upper class students in the new year.
Bria Perkins is the newest addition to SCAD family,
serving as the residence director for Flower and
Garden at The Hive. She is a proud North Carolinian
from Eden, North Carolina. She received her
Bachelors in Communications from Fayetteville State
University (FSU) and her Masters in Public Relations
& Corporate Communications from New York
University (NYU). During her time at FSU and NYU
she gained experience in student affairs and residence
life as a paraprofessional and professional.
Damian Washington joins SCAD as a new residence
director. Damian recently graduated from the
University of Central Arkansas where he worked as
a graduate assistant in housing and residence life.
Damian will be working in Montgomery House
supporting upper class students in the new year.
Promotions:
LeAnne Myers joined SCAD as a residence director
in 2016. In July, she transitioned as the new assistant
director of residence life. LeAnne graduated from Ball
State University where she worked as an assistant
residence director for housing and residence life. She
will be supporting entry level professionals as they
prepare students for their creative careers.
University of Georgia
Staff Updates:
Sekita Stroud joined University Housing as the
SEAHO Report Summer 2019

assignments coordinator in the Housing Assignments
Office on June 10. Sekita previously served as a
housing specialist with the Georgia Department
of Community Affairs in Norcross. Sekita holds a
bachelor's degree in political science from Georgia
Southern University and an MBA from Piedmont
College.
Ken Starks is the new residence hall director for
Russell Hall. Ken has a master's degree in higher
education from Old Dominion University and a
bachelor's degree in international studies from
Georgia Southern University. Ken has previously
served at the University of North Alabama as an area
coordinator, Old Dominion University as an assistant
hall director, Texas Tech University as an ACUHO-I
intern and Georgia Southern University as a senior
community leader.
Macy Reeves is the new residence hall director for
East Campus Village. Macy has a master's in higher
education and a bachelor's in psychology from
Georgia Southern University. She has a passion for
first-generation students and multicultural affairs.
Macy has served as a residence hall director at
Savannah College of Art & Design, a diversity
training graduate coordinator at Georgia Southern
University and as a fraternity and sorority life intern at
the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.
Zachariah Brumfield is the new residence hall
director for Mell, Morris and Lipscomb halls. He
has served as an assistant hall director at Ball State
University. He holds a master's degree in student
affairs administration from Ball State University and
a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Ball
State University.
Alexis Szelwach is the new residence hall director
for Myers Hall. Alexis has a bachelor's degree in
hospitality management and a certificate in leadership
studies from the University of Central Florida, and a
master's degree in education from the University of
Georgia. She previously served as a graduate resident
for academic initiatives and a graduate residence hall
director at the University of Georgia.
