Committee Reports Committee Reports Corporate Partners Committee The corporate partners committee is busy preparing for the 2020 conference in Louisville. Currently we are solidifying sponsorship levels and exhibit booth information prior to conference registration opening in the fall.. One of our main priorities for this years conference is engagement in the exhibit hall and the committee is actively working on some ideas to increase our engagement with vendors at the conference. We are also excited to announce that the Corporate Partners Chair - Select for the 2021 conference will be Katie Lewis from the University of North Florida! Katie has been an integral member of the committee and we are excited for Katie to lead the committee for the 2021 annual conference in Charleston! Research and Information Committee Exciting news from the SEAHO Research & Information Committee! The criteria for the Outstanding Contributions to Research Award has been solidified. If you or anyone you know is engaging in any Housing research initiatives, please consider submitting your project for this award. The submission deadline is not until late into the Fall semester, so you have plenty of time to identify a research study. Secondly, if you are looking for a presentation alternative, consider a SEAHO Poster Session! This initiative started last year and we are seeking to enhance the number of posters presented at the annual conference. Any research and assessment projects focused on Housing operations are eligible. For more information on either of these two opportunities, please e-mail research@seaho.org. Educational Programs Committee On behalf of the Educational Programs Committee, I am excited to announce some initiatives to look out for in the upcoming SEAHO Report: * Case Study: The Committee is working to conduct a mid-year case study competition utilizing the SEAHO Report. We will post a case study during the next SEAHO Report and will ask for individuals to work on it and submit by a specified deadline. We will select the winning case study and publish it to the winter SEAHO Report. That way, the membership can see a winning example ahead of the SEAHO 2020 annual conference. * Educational Grants: The Committee is developing an example of a quality educational grant that has the potential of winning a grant. This will showcase to the membership the ease of drafting and submitting an educational grant to support an existing initiative. Additionally, the Committee will solicit idea for events and activities for member institutions in the form of "seed money" to jumpstart a proposed initiative. Please be sure to keep an eye for the upcoming SEAHO Report to participate in a mid-year case study competition and learn more about the educational grant submission processes. If you have any questions then please feel free to reach out. 9 SEAHO Report Summer 2019
