SEAHO PRESIDENT
Hi SEAHO! I am looking forward to having an annual
conference, especially as I have the pleasure of seeing you
again after 2 long years. We are back in Asheville, NC, for
the first time as SEAHO since the 2006 conference. At that
time, I had the pleasure of serving with great North Carolina
leadership like Gay Perez and Heidi LeCount. What a fitting
way to reignite our annual in-person conference again since
COVID-19 began. On March 1-4, we
will join forces with the host team led by
Bob Boyle to " discover new heights "
as a housing professional, on a personal
self-care quest, and reconnecting with
outstanding professionals across our
region.
RELI (Regional Entry Level Institute) Co-Chairs, Katrina Pawvluk and Liz Ingrao
are well under way with the RELI 2022 cohort. Faculty members have been selected
and will meet in Asheville. The conference will also be an opportunity for past RELI
faculty and participants to reconnect as well as encourage potential candidates
to apply for the institute. I hope you will consider being a part of this rejuvenating
professional experience.
I am pleased to announce our new SEAHO Representative with the ACUHO-I
Foundation is Jacob McAbee. I am excited to have Jacob back in the SEAHO region
and connecting us to the foundation's contributions.
SEAHO Small College/University Support Task Force led by Dr. David Wilson
will meet at SEAHO 2022 to gather the final components of their small college and
institution feedback and recommendations for SEAHO representation.
We will share our latest Strategic Plan progress from members of the Governing
Council and across our region related to our four outcomes goals: to be a leading
provider of resources and education for higher education housing professionals in
the southeast, balance affordability and financial sustainability for members, facilitate
connections in the southeast, and recognized as a student housing organization.
