Graphic 4: Tips for supervising Neurodivergent people The next graphic followed the previous one and it covered some of the ways supervisors can support Neurodivergent people (and Neurodiversity as a whole). The most important thing to remember is that each experience will be unique and that not everyone needs or wants support in the same way. Graphic 5: I interviewed my own supervisor, Associate Director of Residence Life Charlene " KP " Kilpatrick, to get her take on how she supports her team and how Neurodiversity plays a role in that. She stated that " by being honest and sharing my struggles, it creates the space for my team to do the same. " KP explained the importance of keeping communication open by asking what people need and how to best support them. Through listening and leading by example, she helps Neurodivergent and Neurotypical colleagues alike feel more productive and engaged, thus supporting the Neurodiversity of the Residence Life Office. 27
