TREASURER
JAMESON MOSCHELLA
FLORIDA GULF COAST UNIVERSITY
Hello SEAHO Family! My name is Jameson Moschella and I am honored to
have been nominated for the Treasurer-Elect position. I currently have the
pleasure of serving as the Assistant Vice President for University Housing and
Residence Life at Florida Gulf Coast University. In my role, I provide leadership
and direction to the financial/business operation, facilities/maintenance
operation, and residence life/education program for a department serving
4748 residential students.
It feels like only a short time ago that I attended my first SEAHO conference
in 2001 in Birmingham, AL. As a new professional attending this conference
for the first time and knowing very few people, the experience was a bit overwhelming. But the people
were friendly! The corporate partners were easy to talk with (even though I had no purchasing power), the
programs were engaging, and to top it off, I got to play golf on the Robert Trent Jones golf trail with some
Senior Housing Officers. I have so many memories like this one from the various cities I've been to as a
SEAHO participant. The networks I've made and the opportunities afforded to me because of my formal and
informal involvement in SEAHO have helped guide my professional path.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving SEAHO in the following ways:
* SEAHO State Representative (Florida)
o In Florida, we also serve as State President for our state association (FHO).
* SEAHO Fiscal Strategic Plan Review Committee
o Reviewed SEAHO budget and recommended developing separate operating and conference
budget templates.
o Investigated investment options for existing/future reserves.
* RELI Faculty
o Facilitated Social Justice workshop
o Mentored an amazing group of young professionals (Cluster 5)
* SEAHO-U Presenter
o Presented on Financial Wellness during the SEAHO 2022 conference in Ashville, NC
I have always been very intentional about my involvement over the years. As housing professionals, it
is important we prioritize our commitments, first and foremost to our home institutions and next, time
permitting, to this wonderful association. I believe that this is the right time and the right position for me to
once again give back to an organization that has given so much to so many. If elected, I would commit to the
following:
* Maintain accurate accounting of revenues, expenses, reserves, and investments.
* Operate in full fiscal transparency during my tenure.
* Identify opportunities to make the Annual Conference Fee Waiver available to more entry-level and
graduate student participants.
Again, I am honored to have received this nomination and look forward to seeing many of you at the
upcoming SEAHO 2023 conference in Richmond, VA.
