also see the potential for a realignment of tasks and responsibilities to assist SEAHO and its membership in
the future.
I deeply value the prospect of building a team with the 2023-2025 committee chairs to espouse the SEAHO
values, while strengthening relationships with colleagues to increase involvement from the region throughout
the next couple of years. As the Director of Committees, I would specifically like to work toward the following
goals to support the strategic plan initiatives while the organization wraps up its current strategic plan and
begins planning for the future of the organization beyond 2025:
* Serve as a liaison between committee membership, Governing Council, Executive Board, and the
conference host teams (Aligns to SEAHO Strategic Plan Initiative 3.1)
* Collaborate with committee chairs to evaluate committee structure and goals to align committee
objectives with SEAHO values and goals in the upcoming SEAHO strategic plan (Aligns to SEAHO
Strategic Plan Initiative 3.1)
* Develop a standardized structure for committee meetings to ensure all committee work is equitable
and accessible for all SEAHO members (Aligns to SEAHO Strategic Plan Initiative 3.2)
* Create a new committee membership process to engage and retain membership from all career
levels (Aligns to SEAHO Strategic Plan Initiative 3.1)
* Collaborate with the Executive Board members to increase communication, marketing, and
promotion of the SEAHO committee opportunities, projects, and accomplishments (Aligns to
SEAHO Strategic Plan Initiative 4.3)
* Provide #SEAHOallyear professional development opportunities through committee participation to
further develop the membership (Aligns to SEAHO Strategic Plan Initiatives 1.3 and 3.4)
SEAHO has become my professional home over the past ten years. I have a great love for the SEAHO
family that welcomed me with open arms. I treasure the relationships built, the knowledge shared, and
the collaboration that comes from serving residential housing programs best. I am truly humbled to be a
candidate for the Director of Committees position and thank you for your consideration.

Hello SEAHO! I'm truly honored and humbled to be nominated for the Director
of Committees position. SEAHO is an organization that I truly love and call my
professional home. The connections I've made because of this organization
have brought me not only learning opportunities but more importantly many
friends. I've always looked up to the individuals who have led our vibrant
association to achieve many things throughout its long history, and I hope that
I can help continue that tradition. I believe the backbone of our organization
is the efforts of our volunteer members. The primary way I've seen others
and myself engage with the work of SEAHO has been through serving on
association committees. I hope to bring a focus on the purposeful and
consistent hard work of committees that help ensure SEAHO can meet its strategic goals and benefit our
members.
I've been involved with SEAHO since attending the annual conference in 2010 during my first year of
graduate school. The opportunities at that conference demonstrated to me that SEAHO is a place of caring
