Greetings SEAHO!
I am incredibly grateful and enthusiastic to have been nominated for SEAHO's
Director of Communications. I truly love SEAHO and the connections, support,
and development it provides. This organization has been my professional home
since 2015 and I am eager to continue to serve our membership, who have
already provided me with so much. It is vital to SEAHO's legacy and longevity
to tell our story and tell it effectively. If elected, I would commit to supporting
SEAHO's values of inclusivity, connectedness, intentionality, collaboration,
innovation, and ethical practice and pursue the following goals:
* Inclusivity: SEAHO is an organization full of individual members. To effectively share our
organizational story, we also need to share our membership stories. To ignite the #SEAHOAllYear
spirit, SEAHO involvement stories should be shared so that others can identify their own path to
involvement, and continued outreach should be conducted beyond the annual conference. This
would expand both our reach as well as our level of engagement.
* Connectedness: The SEAHO website is often the first resource members look to for updated
information. To ensure that our organization is providing timely, prevalent, and accessible
communications, I hope to continue working with our website host and supporting the Website
Management Committee to enhance website utilization and regularly archive out-of-date information
* Intentionality: Continue to build a Communication Plan and Timeline for messages so that social
media, the website, and the SEAHO Report work in unison.
* Collaboration: Meet with both the Director of State Representatives and the Director of Committees
to highlight state and committee stories. Additionally, I would work with the Marketing and
Organizational Promotions committee to create a brand kit for these entities to use so they can assist
us in sharing their work.
* Innovation: Utilize analytics to assess membership engagement levels and investigate resources to
boost or enhance communication and story sharing.
* Ethical Practice: Consistently review and evaluate communication resources to ensure they are both
fiscally responsible and effective.
* Support: Meet with representatives from Marketing and Organizational Promotions, Website
Management, and the SEAHO Report to gather their feedback and collaboration on the
Communication Plan and Timeline. Serve as a liaison between the governing council and the
executive board to the communications team.
