SEAHO PRESIDENT
Greetings, SEAHO!
I want to take a moment to acknowledge our new SEAHO Report
Editorial Board and the great work they have done to get this
publication back up and running after a short hiatus. As a former
editor of this great magazine myself, I know the time and energy that
go into creating the pages you are reading now. Kudos to Caitlyn and
her team for stepping up and giving us a great future for this muchloved
space.
During my time as President of SEAHO, I have most valued the
opportunity to engage with our membership, hear their ideas and
concerns, and provide outlets for their voices to be heard. I am happy
to be able to say that I have provided numerous opportunities this
year for engagement, and as we gather in Richmond or our annual
conference, I am excited to share a few of our achievements:
We have made incredible strides in implementing our
Strategic Plan. From allocating money to redesign our website to
offering year-round webinars and engagement experiences for our membership, we
have been hard at work ensuring that SEAHO is a vibrant and active community all year
long. You can read more about our strategic plan progress here.
Five different task forces have been actively working this year to bring new ideas and
initiatives to the SEAHO Governing Council. The Small Colleges and Universities Task
Force wrapped up its work with final recommendations that are being implemented
with this year's annual conference. Similarly, a team dedicated to reviewing our
Organizational Continuity and Digital Recordkeeping presented a fantastic list of
SEAHO improvements that are being woven into our every day work. The final three
groups: Engagement Strategies, 60th Anniversary Celebration, and SEAHO Diversity
Statement are continuing their efforts into this new year and we look forward to the
ideas they champion for SEAHO's future.
The SEAHO Governing Council has also brought 4 constitutional amendments to the
table this year, as we are constantly working to keep our organization up to date and
relevant. We will potentially be adding a new membership level, cleaning up language
around our Treasurer-Elect position, and renaming two of our standing committees to
better align their work as it has developed over the years. More information about each

Finally, we are committed to providing an unmatched annual conference experience,
and the growth we have seen is a testament to the reach and impact that SEAHO
has. Congratulations to Megan Becker and her entire host team for all their hard work
making this year's conference a success. New sponsorship tiers, over 70 program
sessions, and innovative usage of our reception times are just a few of the ways this
team has elevated the conference experience.
