It's super easy to nominate someone to fill one of the four open positions for our illustrious association. That's right, there will be four open positions for this upcoming year. 1. President-Elect 2. Director of Communications 3. Director of Committees 4. Treasurer-Elect Here's a little bit about each of the open positions: The President-Elect shall preside at all Association functions in the absence of the President; serve as the chairperson of the Awards and Recognition Committee; and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by either the President or the Governing Council. The President-Elect shall be elected at the annual conference for a three-year commitment of service, which includes one year in each of the offices of PresidentElect, President and Past President. The Director of Communications is an elected position for a two-year term. The Director of Communications shall perform duties and responsibilities as assigned by either the President or the Governing Council. Lead the creation and management of a robust communications plan. Manage association communications including email, social media, and other communications mediums the association identifies. The Director of Committees is elected for a two-year term and will work with those committees, which are not overseen by another member of the Executive Board. The Director of Committees shall perform duties and responsibilities as assigned by either the President or the Governing Council. Assist Committee Chairs with composing committees whose memberships reflect the diversity of SEAHO. Ensures that all committees aim to have representatives from each of the ten SEAHO states. The Treasurer-Elect shadows and learns from the Treasurer then steps into the Treasurer role. The Treasurer shall serve as the custodian of all association funds and disbursements; maintain all association funds in the U.S. Government-insured accounts; maintain a fidelity bond at least equal to the highest balance of association funds during the previous year; maintain careful and sufficient records to account for all association funds and make such records available to any member or officer of the association upon request; serve as an ex-officio member of the Reserve Fund Committee; serve as official SEAHO signatory on all contracts; and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by either the President or the Governing Council.
