SEAHO 2024 Annual Awards
Each year, SEAHO celebrates the excellence exhibited by our colleagues across the region during our
conference by presenting our annual awards. There 62 unique nomination submissions for the awards this
year - thank you to everyone who took time to compose these thoughtful nominations. This year's SEAHO
Award recipients are:
* Founder's Award - Nyerere Tryman, Auburn University
* Charles W. Been Memorial Service Award - Sarah Butler, Florida State University
* Outstanding Graduate Student - Yahira Robinson, University of North Carolina Greensboro
* James C. Grimm Outstanding New Professional Award - NyAsia Shaw, Virginia Commonwealth
* Outstanding Mid-Level Professional Award - Katie Lewis, University of North Florida
* Outstanding Mentor Award - Dr. Amy Lorenz, University of North Florida
* Outstanding Corporate Partners Award - Kristan Wun, Caldwell & Gregory
* Humanitarian Award - Kaitlyn Van Dyk, Georgia Southern University
* PEACE Award - Geaux Diva Live, Louisiana State University
* Academic Collaboration Award - Finish Strong, University of Miami
* Contributions to Research Award - Kate Gannon-Cullinan, Louisiana State University
* SEAHO Report Article of the Year - " Neurodiversity in the Workplace " by Nic Capano, Davidson

* Case Study Competition - Kristen Hooks, Western Kentucky University & Jordan Mclelland, USC

* Best of SEAHO 2024 Program - " Does My RBF Offend You: Black Women Engagement " Looks
Different " Chelsea Mason, Jasmine Edwards, Shannon Ashford - Georgia State University
Each year, every SEAHO institution also has the opportunity to submit the name of a member of their staff
for a SEAHO Service Award. This year, 51 Service Awards were presented to our colleagues across the
region for dedicated service to their host institutions. Additionally, SEAHO adopted four Resolutions of
Appreciation, which were read at the conclusion of the Business Meeting:
* Vera Jackson (deceased), Jackson State University & SEAHO Past President
* M. Keener Scott (deceased), University of Georgia
* Richard Bradley (retired), UNC Chapel Hill
* University of Miami, RELI Host Institution
