considering the pandemic that happened at the start of it) as we head into the implementation of the 20262031
iteration.
I am excited about this opportunity to serve SEAHO and to work together towards continuing to be the leading
resource for the higher education housing industry in the southeast. As a professional who started their career
in another region where I was actively involved, I can say that there is no place like home (SEAHO). Thank you

Zach Blackmon
SEAHO! I am so humbled to be on the slate to serve as our next Treasurer. I first
attended SEAHO 2013 Atlanta, GA, and immediately felt at home. Thankfully,
mentors also pushed me to get involved! Since then, I have called SEAHO my
professional home and have been fortunate to remain involved and invested in the
organization.
I serve as the Director of Operations for the Office of Residence Life and Housing
at Wake Forest University. In that role, my team and I oversee the administrative
and operational aspects of approximately 4,200 beds while also serving as a
connector and support for our off-campus students. Annually, I am responsible for
the timeliness and accuracy of transactions totaling over $90 million. The attention
to detail, problem-solving, and stewardship of long-term planning that my role
requires will serve me well in the Treasurer role.
My involvement in SEAHO has been primarily associated with our website/technology and conference hosting,
but you can view my entire involvement history below. My breadth of knowledge from serving on the Governing
Council, the Executive Board, and numerous Host Committees, paired with my depth of understanding of two
of our most significant budget areas, uniquely prepares me to be successful as the next Treasurer.

for the membership to learn about the association's financial working
