Hartz Lends a Hand
with Loving Paws™

A

fter nearly 12 years of giving back to the pet community
through volunteering, monetary/product donations, and
sponsorships, the Hartz Loving Paws™ program was
officially established in 2018. Through this initiative, Hartz has
doubled-down on its commitment to support no-kill shelters as
well as assist refuges in reaching this same goal, along with
other organizations, by caring for and safeguarding animals
until adoption.

Through product donations, Hartz extends its support
to, and makes an impact on, the health and well-being of
companion animals in the guardianship of foster families,
sanctuaries, and shelters. With the exception of food, pet
treatment medications and preventatives like flea and
tick control products are the top pet supplies needed by
shelters to keep dogs and cats healthy and happy while in
their care.
In 2018, the Hartz Loving Paws™ shelter outreach
program launched its first initiative in partnership with
Rescue Bank®, which distributes vital products to
non-profit animal welfare groups that have limited access
to resources. Each time a consumer purchased a Hartz
UltraGuard Pro item in-store or online, Hartz donated
UltraGuard flea and tick products for cats and dogs to
shelters across America.
