Founded in 1874, Maritime College has attracted broad recognition as a national leader in higher education. U.S. News and World Report ranked its engineering programs among the best in the nation, and Great Colleges for the Real World awarded Maritime College its exclusive five-star rating. The College's Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture programs are ABET accredited. Graduating classes enjoy a nearly 100% career placement rate, as well as among the nation's highest average starting salaries. The oldest and largest Maritime school in the country, Maritime College is a four-year college located at historic Fort Schuyler in Throggs Neck, NY. Maritime offers undergraduate degree programs in Engineering, Marine Transportation, Maritime Studies, Marine Environmental Science, International Transportation and Trade, and a Master's Degree in International Transportation Management. Maritime students may pursue a U.S. Coast Guard Deck or Engine License. These students participate in Maritime's structured Regiment of Cadets, as well as three Summer Sea Terms aboard the Empire State VI, the largest training ship in the country. There is no military obligation for Maritime graduates unless they choose to participate in one of four ROTC programs.

Morrisville State College, situated on 150 acres in beautiful Central New York, is nationally recognized as a leader for its groundbreaking technology initiatives and applied research in renewable energies.
