about a major-there's a SUNY
for you! You'll find thousands
of undergraduate academic
programs to prepare you for
virtually any career imaginable.
The State University of New York offers three
types of undergraduate degree and certificate
programs.

Certificate Programs
Certificates are usually one year in length and
lead directly to employment. They consist of a
focused series of courses and are typically
found at community colleges.

Associate Degree Programs
Associate degrees usually take two years of
study and prepare students for employment or
transfer (most often AA or AS degree options)
to a bachelor's degree program at a four-year
campus. Associate degrees are offered at
Community Colleges and some of the
Technology Colleges.

Bachelor's Degree Programs
Bachelor's degrees usually take four years to
complete as a full-time student. University
Centers and Doctoral Degree Granting
Institutions, University Colleges and the
Technology Colleges offer bachelor's degrees.
