• 25 (2½"-wide) strips. From strips, cut 400 (2½") squares.
From gold print, cut:

• 4 (9"-wide) strips. From strips, cut 80 (9" × 2") rectangles. • 2 (2½"-wide) strips. From strips, cut 30 (2½") B squares.
From black print, cut:

triangle-squares, 1 set of 3 matching triangle-squares, 1 black triangle-square, and 5 matching quarter-square triangles as shown in Block Unit Diagrams. Join into rows; join rows to complete 1 block unit. Make 80 block units.
NOTE: Marianne matched the triangle-squares and quartersquare triangles in some block units and made other block units scrappy. Refer to the photo on page 29 for color placement ideas.
