Trimming Oversize Triangle-Squares
Try this method to make perfect triangle-squares every time.
A
B 1. Using squares that are 1"–11⁄8" larger
than desired finished size of trianglesquare, make triangle squares as described above. (Triangle-squares for Northport Crossing finish at 1½". ) Cut squares 2½"-25⁄8". 2. Place square-up ruler atop trianglesquare, aligning 45° line with corners of triangle-square and allowing top and right edges to extend slightly past the edges of ruler (Photo A). Trim along top and right edge of ruler. 3. Turn triangle-square and align diagonal line with corners and desired-size line on ruler with bottom and left sides of triangle-square. Trim top and right sides to square up triangle-square (Photo B).
