DAVE THENO FOOD SAFETY FELLOWSHIP AWARD Kiley Doherty Chicago, Illinois Ben Chapman congratulated Kiley Doherty on receiving the Dave Theno Food Safety Fellowship Award. The Dave Theno Food Safety Fellowship Award was established in 2017 by STOP Foodborne Illness and Michigan State University to honor Dr. Dave Theno, a renowned food safety pioneer and long-time IAFP Member, who passed away earlier that year. Dr. Theno was credited with helping set new standards for leadership and management in food production and safety. Recipients of this Fellowship spend a year working with STOP Foodborne Illness, a national nonprofit public health organization dedicated to preventing illness and death from foodborne pathogens by advocating for sound public policies, building public awareness, and assisting those impacted by foodborne illness.
