China International Food Safety & Quality (CIFSQ) Conference
October 26-27, 2022
IAFP is proud to be the global host for the annual China International
Food Safety & Quality (CIFSQ) Conference. This top-level event brings
together food safety professionals from across China and around the
world. This year, the 16th CIFSQ Conference took place as a hybrid event
October 26-27, 2022, in Shanghai under the theme, " Safer Foods, Healthier
Lives. " The two-day conference included a wide range of topics organized
around several Panel Discussions and 12 Breakout Sessions delivered to
more than 300 in-person and 500 virtual attendees.
IAFP is proud to be the global host for the annual China International
Food Safety & Quality (CIFSQ) Conference. This top-level event brings
together food safety professionals from across China and around the
world. This year, the 16th CIFSQ Conference took place as a hybrid event
October 26-27, 2022, in Shanghai under the theme, " Safer Foods, Healthier
Lives. " The two-day conference included a wide range of topics organized
around several Panel Discussions and 12 Breakout Sessions delivered to
more than 300 in-person and 550 virtual attendees.
The strong educational program featured more than 120 distinguished
speakers and panelists, including ministerial level officials, renowned
scientists, and executives from the world's largest food companies and
producers. Twenty-three sponsors and exhibitors displayed the latest food
safety technologies and innovations.
Ge Zhirong, Honorary Conference Chair, Former Counsellor of the State
Council, People's Republic of China (PRC) and Former Deputy Director
AQSIQ, was among those opening the event and one of several speakers for
the Welcome Address. Additional speakers were Michelle Danyluk, University
of Florida and IAFP President; Al Almanza, JBS Foods; and Xu Jin, Shanghai
Municipal Administration for Market Regulation.
Opening Day's morning session featured five Regulatory Presentations,
including Gu Shaoping, State Administration for Market Regulation, China,
presenting an " Overview of Inspection and Testing Management of Food and
Agricultural Products " ; Frank Yiannas, U.S. FDA and an IAFP Past President,
speaking on " Envisioning a Data-Driven Transformation of the Global Food

opportunities and networking. Organized by the Food Control Department of
Dubai Municipality, this year's event showcased best practices and experiences
from several countries and continents, including the U.S., Canada, Australia,
Europe, and Saudi Arabia.

" Dealing with the Basics Before We Can Get Fancy - From Africa to the Rest of
the World " ; Robert Buchanan, University of Maryland, Leon Gorris, Food Safety
