Validated Pathogen Test Methods

The PCR assays with the Assurance® GDS system are
validated according to ISO 16140-2 and other reference
standards (FDA BAM or USDA MLG) for the
detection of food pathogens in a variety of matrices and
a range of sample sizes including meat, poultry, dairy,
RTE meat, produce, seafood, eggs, infant formula,
chocolate, and environmental surfaces.
The pathogen detection system includes assays for
detection of Salmonella, E. coli O157:H7, Top 7 STEC,
Shiga Toxin Genes, Listeria spp., Listeria monocytogenes,
and Cronobacter. These assays have been validated
and certified by several third parties including AOAC,
AFNOR, MicroVal, and Health Canada, as well as many
multinational food manufacturing companies.
The Assurance® GDS tools and technology are
designed to make food pathogen PCR work reliable,
even with challenging samples.
