Graduation : PRECEPTORS: STEPPING UP TO HELP BY SANDY GRAHAM 16 T he Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has recognized, with deep gratitude, the outstanding preceptors of the 2018-2019 school year. The school depends on a volunteer corps of some 1,200 preceptors around the world who guide pharmacy students during "real world" pharmacy practice experiences. "We would not exist as an accredited program without these partnerships," said Megan E. Thompson, PharmD, director of experiential programs and associate professor of clinical pharmacy. "We are really fortunate to have an exceptional pool of preceptors." The awards are given to individuals who are nominated by students and reviewed by a committee of CU Pharmacy faculty and staff. This year's honorees were feted at a recent dinner at the Denver Aquarium. The awards were: CU Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences
