Wire Coverings

Wire Striping Spiral wire striping is offered in most color combinations. When more circuit identification is needed than our broad wire color selection, striped wire is an easy answer to your problem. High contrast color combinations are the best, such as white or yellow wire with a black or red stripe. Pick your combinations and call the sales department for prices, delivery, and minimums. Wire Printing Eliminate guessing which wire you have in your hand. Custom printing allows you to easily identify your wire when dealing with multiple wires.

Corrugated Loom Pieces, Special Materials and Colors Corrugated loom can be supplied in custom lengths cut to your specifications. Also, a variety of colors, materials, configurations, and profiles are available by special order. For details, including minimum quantity requirements, pricing, and lead times, contact the sales department.

Custom Size of Heat Shrink All sizes and styles of heat shrink tubing can be cut to your length requirements.

Cooper Bussmann’s Single Vehicle Electrical Center (VEC) and Dual Vehicle Electrical Center (DVEC) are widely used power distribution modules for DC powered vehicles. The VEC & DVEC offer a customized high current power distribution center in a compact size. They use patented programmable 3D matrix technologies that can be easily modified to accommodate a wide range of applications. You work with an engineering team to develop a prototype that fits your needs, and gives you a plug and play installation that keeps your tooling and labor costs low. The VEC & DVEC accepts standard 2.8mm wide terminals including mini fuses, mini circuit breakers, relays, flashers, diodes and more. They allow you to eliminate external jumpers and splices in wire harnesses that are subject to the harsh environments, and use a protected centralized unit for power distribution. The VEC can accommodate up to 2 input connectors - 4 bladed inputs or 2 studs - and 4 output connectors. The DVEC can accommodate up to twice this amount. (Some designs may limit the number of connectors available for use.) The customizable designs of the VEC/DVEC enable them to incorporate many different devices and multiple design variations. Splices in the harness can be eliminated by internally programming them into the grid matrix. The inputs (connector or stud) and outputs (connector) of the VEC/DVEC are color-coded and keyed, and provide quick installation. This also makes the module easy to service. The largest benefit of these modules are the reduced lead times and zero tooling cost.

VEC/DVEC rated IP 55. Also available in Severe Service style which is rated IP 66.
