OtterBox Protection Available for Motorola ATRIX 4G
OtterBox has introduced the Defender series case for the Motorola ATRIX 4G. “The Defender Series case from OtterBox makes the ATRIX 4G’s technology even more versatile, said OtterBox CEO Curt Richardson. “Take it to the construction site, on a military base or to the top of a mountain. It is the most rugged protection available.” The OtterBox Defender series is a tri-layer case that defends from drops, dust, dings and overall damage. The first layer is a built-in screen protector, full touch functionality is capable while guarding against scratches and scuffs. Layer two encases the device with an impact-resistant polycarbonate shell and layer three finishes the case with a durable shock-absorbing silicone. compliant Accu-Guard series fuses are well suited for handheld devices including cell phones, PDAs, two-way radios and video/ digital cameras, as well as hard disk drives (HDD), LCD screens, computers, instrumentation, battery chargers and rechargeable battery packs.
XPAL Power Debuts PowerSkin Battery-Boosting Smartphone Cases
XPAL Power, Inc. has launched a new line of PowerSkin-branded cases that fuse style and protection into a slim-fitting smart phone case that doubles battery life. Outfitted with impact-resistant silicone rubber, PowerSkin cases are lightweight, flexible and feature a non-slip grip. They are also 100 percent recycled (except for the battery and internal components). XPAL Powered battery technology extends talk time anywhere from four and a half to eight hours, depending on the phone, providing a convenient and compact source of power. “Our new PowerSkin brand brings to market a full line protective silicone cases with a built-in battery for smartphones, solving both the protection and power issues consumers face,” said David Becker, vice president of sales and marketing, PowerSkin and XPAL Power. All cases come standard with a micro USB re-charge port, an on/off button and LED battery status lights that indicate exactly how much power remains. The Apple iPhone case also provides the option to sync to iTunes.
AVX Extends Current Rating of 0402 Fuse to Include 200 mA and 50 mA Versions
AVX Corp. has extended the current rating of the Accu-Guard II low current series to include 200 mA, 150 mA, 100 mA, 62.5 mA and 50 mA versions in a 0402 package. The miniature 0402 low current fuse utilizes thin film and land grid array (LGA) technologies to enable control of the component’s electrical and physical characteristics.
