Rittal Unveils Preconfigured, Modular Data
Center Concept
Rittal Corp. has introduced its latest concept to provide efficient, economical and innovative installation of data centers, large
and small. Named RiMatrix S, this system represents a set of preconfigured, fully-compatible data center modules with well-define
power consumption and efficiency ratings. The system is a coordinated ensemble of Rittal’s racks, climate control products, power
backup and distribution systems and monitoring equipment.
Because of its standardization and fully-compatible components, the RiMatrix S modules offer low PUE (power utilization
effectiveness). With Cloud services becoming so much a part of
today’s IT industry, and so many people relying upon a vast array
of devices from smart phones to tablets and complex PC networks, Rittal also included a complete selection of its end-to-end
solutions for enterprises large and small.
Securing vital data is as critical as it has ever been and with that
in mind, Rittal has created its Modulsafe Level E – an enhanced
version of its Safe program. This enclosure creates a complete
secure zone around its 19-inch rack, protecting against nearly all
physical threats. Adding to the versatility of the new model is the
fact that it is now built around Rittal’s TS IT Server Enclosure that
features snap-in, tool-less assembly for fast, efficient deployment.
To provide vital data on what’s happening within the data
center Rittal has developed the Computer Multi Control (CMC)
III designed to capture a variety of metrics via an intelligent bus
system, with results instantly accessible to network administrators.
The CMC III can operate independently to issue alerts or notify
predetermined contacts. The monitoring systems can provide a
range of sensors, including infrared intrusion detectors, leakage
and smoke detection and humidity and airflow recording.
An integral part of the high-density data center is climate
control. That is why the LCP DX (Liquid Cooling Package, Direct
Expansion) is designed to dissipate from 3 to 12 kW of power via
an integrated chiller. It is available in two versions, rack-based and
row-based. The new model is well suited for environments where
a limited number of components require cooling and a chilled
water system is not appropriate.
Raritan Boosts its DCIM Leadership Position
With dcTrack 3.0
databases or diagramming solutions that often become inaccurate
and unwieldy when managing thousands of servers and supporting
components and the complexity of today’s data centers. dcTrack
DCIM software, instead, provides real-time, accurate information
and new insights on data center assets, infrastructure capacity, and
energy use from any Web browser with just a few clicks. Thereby,
eliminating the need to go to a rack to look at the power chain,
network connections, and empty slots each time a server change
needs to be made.
Among the new features in dcTrack 3.0 is the My Company
Library, an asset model sub-library tailored for an organization to
make it easier and faster to enter data and obtain information.
Enhancements to dcTrack 3.0 also improve change management
and workflow processes through integration with external CMDB
and Ticketing systems, making it easier to electronically exchange
information with customers’ existing systems and processes.
dcTrack 3.0’s asset-auto-discovery and self-learning process
engines and ad hoc reporting capabilities are all designed to support easy deployment of the solution and to enable data center
professionals to easily get the answers to their questions. dcTrack
3.0, which is available worldwide, has a pay-as-you-grow pricing
structure based on the number of data center cabinets.
CyberLock Releases New Features to Access
Control Management Software
CyberLock, Inc. has released
several software enhancements
to its CyberAudit Professional
management system. CyberAudit Professional 3.0 software
offers streamlined reporting and
notification capabilities, compatibility with CyberKey Vaults and
Flex System input and output
devices, and provides activation
for the Flex System Door and I/O module relay device.
By using the CyberLock Flex System Door & I/O module,
organizations can integrate with third party Wiegand compatible
access control devices, making the technology more suitable for
organizations looking for a cost-effective way to expand their access control systems. Functions of the Door & I/O module include
locking and unlocking doors, arming and disarming alarms, as well
as activating other relay based devices.
The CyberAudit Professional management software is part of a
smart key solution comprised of electronic locks and programmable keys. The software allows users to assign key access schedules,
set expirations, add new CyberLock electronic lock cylinders to the
system, monitor employee and contractor access activities, and
generate audit trails and custom reports.
Raritan has introduced dcTrack
3.0 DCIM software, providing
capabilities to make it easier
for data center professionals
to obtain information on their
data center infrastructures. New
capabilities in dcTrack 3.0 further
simplify the capturing of infrastructure and asset data, managing of equipment adds, moves and changes and generating of
analytics-based insight reports to help with decision making.
